One of my best friends got married earlier this year! I was a bridesmaid in the wedding and for those of you who have had their own wedding or have been in someone’s else’s wedding, they can be stressful!

There is a lot to be done, family can sometimes be annoying, things can go wrong with your planning plus all the nerves and excitement that come along with it {and the stress}, it is easy to let it all get to you. As you know by now, there is an oil for that! Actually there are a number of oils for that.

My friend Hayley was actually one of my first oils customers and she was actually someone that I didn’t think would ever use them but she came to my first ever class that I ran {when I hardly knew anything} and was actually surprised herself at all the ways you can use the oils and decided that she was going to purchase the home essentials kit. I wanted to make sure that she wasn’t just buying them to support me {she wasn’t} but she was actually keen to use them in her home and to support her twins with their sleep and overall health and wellness. So I knew that I could put together a pack of oils to support her {and make sure I had them on hand for the bridal party} on the day.

It was a beautiful venue for a wedding at a Lodge on the River Murray and we had the oils going in the diffuser while we got ready.

These are the oils I had on hand and what you could use them for:

Lavender – the swiss army knife of essential oils – well known for its calming and relaxing properties. Perfect to have on hand to support a restful sleep {a must for the night before}. Lavender will definitely help to create a relaxed mood and a calm environment. Also great to be used in a diffuser before the ceremony to keep everyone calm.

Balance – the grounding blend is the perfect oil for times of stress, anxiety and butterflies in your tummy. This blend promotes tranquility while bringing harmony to the mind and body, and balance to the emotions. Try this in combination with Lavender for the day of {or hours before} the wedding.

Citrus Bliss – the invigorating blend – perfect for the morning of the wedding, to help wake everyone up and feel fresh. This and Peppermint in the diffuser is the perfect combination to help ease into the day and create an aroma to energise and uplift mood to get through everything on the day. There are other oils that I like to call my ‘happy oils’ that you can use if you don’t have this blend.

DigestZen – the digestive blend – a ‘must have on hand’ oil for any digestive issues that come up. Even if anyone in the bridal party eats too much and is feeling bloated. The last thing you want is for any tummy issues or bloating on the big day.

Spearmint - the oil of confident speech - perfect for those in the bridal party who need a boost of confidence before the speeches.

Past Tense – the tension blend – another ‘must have on hand’ oil for any headaches or neck tension. This is a great natural alternative to things like Panadol and other medicines.

Whisper – the women’s blend, designed to be worn as a perfume is a beautiful blend and smells amazing. It also has calming properties and is known for boosting libido {perfect for your wedding night!}.

OnGuard – use this one in the lead up to the wedding to support the immune system. This blend protects against environmental and seasonal threats with essential oils known for their positive effects on the immune system. When diffused, doTERRA On Guard helps purify the air, and can be very energizing and uplifting.

The bride's go to-to blend for stress and anxious feelings was pumping in the diffuser while we got ready. Her go to oils are Grapefruit, Cypress and Balance.

Here are some suggestions from doTERRA on their blog for a bridal survival keychain. (https://www.doterra.com/US/en/blog/bridal-survival-keychain)

The doTERRA living magazine also had an article about wedding planning and oils to use to support you on the big day. Read it here.

This is just a start and everyone has different oils that they use for different purposes so your list of oils may be different to mine but it's a good place to start.
